Radix Announces 46 New TLD Applications

Radix is one of the leading operators of alternative TLDs. In fact, the company bills itself as the “world’s largest portfolio registry for new domains.” It’s no surprise that the company has applied for 46 new TLDs in ICANN’s second round of applications.

The company announced its applications in a press release on its website this morning, which they billed as Radix Deux. Notably, the company noted it intends to build and operate each TLD it applied for if it wins the bid/contract.

Some of the TLDs that I think will be most popular include:

  • .Agent
  • .Coin
  • .Crypto
  • .Hub
  • .Podcast
  • .Wallet
  • .Wealth
  • .Wellness

I am sure quite a few of these extensions will be contended by other companies that have announced their applications.

ICANN recently announced there were more than 1,600 new gTLD applications. The next steps in the process were also shared on ICANN’s website.

It’s going to take some time for these TLDs to go through the application and approval process, but it looks like Radix intends to grow its business by operating some of the TLDs that are expected to be in greatest demand once they are introduced.
