Thank You to Rick Latona & Co.

I am floored and touched by something Rick Latona and his employees did for me and Karen. Shortly after I proposed to Karen, I thought about buying for her. Unfortunately, I saw that the name had been registered for a while, and there was a website on the site. Sadly, I didn’t even try to buy the name. I settled with a name that wasn’t as good, but I figured it was better than nothing.
Out of the blue last night, I received an email from David Clements (President of Rick Latona Auctions, LLC) letting me know that the folks at the Rick Latona family of companies acquired as a wedding gift. This is an incredible gift, and Karen and I are very appreciative. This is something that Karen will have for a long time, and as her career grows, this gift will have even more meaning.
To Ryan Steel, David Clements, Toby Clements, and especially Rick Latona, thank you very much for doing this for us!

  1. That’s awesome. I was thinking of buying my wife’s name for her as a gift for finishing her Ph. D. Amazingly, her name is available in all extensions! Which ones do you think I should get? Her degree is in education. Should I also buy also?
I would buy .com, .net, .org and .info, and forward them all to the .com. You could buy Dr as well but you’d also want to buy doctor in case she likes that better and decides to use it down the road. Don’t get too crazy though – you can always buy other variations as needed.

  2. Very nice move to get your wife’s name as a wedding present..!
PS Couple of years back somebody was selling at NamePros.. I picked it and gave it to Rick L. even though I hardly knew him… 🙂
