Niko Younts is a domain investor who has a considerable investment in Bitcoin domain names via his Currency Evolution business. I was sent an article this morning that was published in Coin Report, entitled, “The Domain Name King of Bitcoin?”
Younts, who may be best known by domain investors for his $250,000 sale of BitcoinWallet.com, still owns a large portfolio of Bitcoin domain names. If you follow him on Twitter, you know his company owns BitcoinWallets.com, BitcoinNetwork.com, and BitcoinExchanges.com, in addition to many geographic and other Bitcoin-related domain names.
The article, written by Garrett Keirns, discusses Younts’ domain portfolio as well as his frustration with the Bitcoin industry. It also briefly discusses his background, and how he put together his Bitcoin portfolio:
“He’s been in the domain business for nearly a decade. He is also a professional media consultant who earns a living on the internet. Bitcoin caught his eye in the spring of 2013. Shortly after, he began building his domain portfolio through aftermarket acquisitions. He says he isn’t interested in selling the domains to anyone outside of the Bitcoin space.”
Younts has been marketing his domain names via Twitter and other channels for quite some time, and additional coverage like this could be helpful in spreading his message and letting people know about his domain name portfolio.
Thanks to Tim for sharing this article with me.
kings . . . a dime a dozen in the domain business.
You don’t hold the record for the highest bitcoin sale btw.
Still, some of his names are pretty good. (I am not sure I like the name that he sold for a quarter mil, while it is a descriptive name, it is pretty long for a brand name.
