As NamesCon Europe concludes in Cascais, Portugal, NamesCon CEO Soeren von Varchmin announced the locations for the 2020, 2021, and 2022 conferences. NamesCon Europe 2020 will take place in Budapest, Hungary, NamesCon Europe 2021 will be held in Rome, Italy, and NamesCon Europe 2022 will be held in Cologne, Germany.
Since we are quite some time out, the conference dates have not been announced yet. My guess is the conference will still be held in June because of the annual NamesCon Global conference in January. I also suspect the organizers will keep the conference in June because of the temperate climate in most European cities during the month of June.
Next up for NamesCon is NamesCon Global in Austin, Texas this coming January. Earlier this month, conference organizers announced the main venue and are offering a registration discount through the end of July. I am hopeful they will post some hotel recommendations shortly so I can book my trip.
Portugal (and more specifically, Cascais) was a great choice for this year’s conference. Although I did not arrive until after the panels had concluded, I’ve been enjoying my time with industry friends in the greater Lisbon and Cascais area. I would love to come back here with my wife and family at some point.
Can you give us some idea as to the attendance size? From the photos I’ve seen so far, it appears to be very low. Are the costs associated worth it? The reason I am asking is that I would like to attend in the future.
2022 in Germany will be good with English, Turkish and Deutsch domains.
