I get quite a bit of email from NameJet on a daily basis, and admittedly, I don’t read everything I receive. Yesterday afternoon, I received an abnormal email announcing a “system interruption” that impacted quite a few auctions that closed while the website was not functioning properly. As a result, these auctions that closed were reopened.
Because I tend to ignore many of these auction start and other emails I receive, I thought I would share it with people who may have overlooked this email today. I believe only bidders whose accounts were impacted received this email. If you have an auction that was impacted, be sure your bid is updated.
Here’s the email I received:
Please be advised that due to a network issue that occurred on Monday, August 29th, our platform was unavailable to bidders from approximately 12:00 PM PST to 1:00 PM PST – which was during auction closing time. In fairness to everyone that had a backorder on the affected domains but could not participate, auctions that were scheduled to close during that time were put on hold, have been restarted. Pending Delete auctions will now close on Tuesday, August 30th, and Pre Release auctions will close on Wednesday, August 31.
The domains are listed below. If you were involved in one of these auctions, it will automatically be added to your My Auctions tab.
We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. Good luck and please let us know if you have any questions.
