NameJet & Afternic Sponsoring Meet Up to Benefit One Fund Boston

One Fund BostonI am excited to announce a Boston area domain investor meetup, and I am even more excited to announce that proceeds from the meet up are going to benefit One Fund Boston, a non-profit organization that is helping victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. The event is sponsored by NameJet and Afternic.

The domain investor meet up will be held on June 25 at Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox play the Colorado Rockies at 7:10pm. NameJet is paying the full $30 ticket price for each attendee. Prior to the game, Afternic is sponsoring a happy hour with drinks and appetizers at Game On, right near Fenway at 5pm. There are 50 tickets available for the event.

If you would like to attend the event, you must donate $30 to One Fund Boston (for each person attending). Attendee contributions will raise $1,500 for this great non-profit organization, and in addition, further contributions will be made directly by NameJet and Afternic. Once you’ve made your donation, please email me the receipt and I will add you to the list. Since space is limited, please RSVP in the comment section or via email and make your donation to confirm.

I reserved part of a standing room only section at Fenway Park. Although there will be unaffiliated people sharing the large section, the group will be large enough to stay segregated to talk business during the game (it’s in a great location at Fenway that is somewhat private). The tickets have already been purchased. I am working with the Boston Red Sox to leave tickets for attendees at the will call window, so you’ll need to pick up the tickets on your own prior to the game or at game time. I’ll need to know who will be attending to put the ticket(s) in your name.

Because of the nature of a baseball game, if there is a rain out, we should still plan to have the meet up at the pre-game location. We’ll have to figure out the situation with respects to eating and drinking, but I assume Afternic will cover the first round as they would if it was pre-gaming. When the game is re-scheduled, we can reconvene then, but let’s hope for a nice evening.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to Afternic and NameJet for sponsoring the event. Both companies offered to sponsor the event without my asking, and they came up with the idea of the event benefitting One Fund Boston. It will be fun to get together in Boston, and it’s fantastic that the event will raise money to help a great organization.

One Fund Boston is not affiliated with this get together in any way, nor have they offered any type of endorsement.
