Mauli Fry Hired by Escrow.com

I want to share some domain industry news I just learned about this morning. Mauli Fry, formerly of Thought Convergence, has joined Escrow.com in a business development position. Mauli had previously been nominated on my blog by a reader as a favorite domain industry account manager. Mauli had worked on the TrafficZ, Aftermarket.com, and Agreed.com lines of business, in addition to other roles at Thought Convergence.

In an email this morning, Brandon Abbey, President of Escrow.com, reported the news of Mauli’s hiring:

Mauli Fry, from Thought Convergence, has joined Escrow.com to work in their Domain Practice. Mauli is an industry veteran within the domain community. She has worked for Thought Convergence for the past eight years. Thought Convergence was the parent company of TrafficZ, Aftermarket.com and Agreed.com. Mauli’s experience has covered a vast array of responsibilities including senior roles in business development, customer support and operations. Her role at Escrow.com will be to help establish new relationships and expand our footprint in the domain and website industry. Of the move Mauli said, “I look forward to working with the best in the industry. Escrow.com set the bar for Internet escrow, I’m excited.”

Last year, Escrow.com acquired Thought Convergence’s escrow service, Agreed.com. Mauli had experience working on the Agreed.com team, so she is familiar with the escrow process  and what domain investors are seeking when working with an escrow company.

On the hiring, Brandon Abbey commented, “It is rare within our industry that someone with Mauli’s talent becomes available.   She is a perfect fit to help us continue our growth in the domain and website communities.   Her experience with Agreed.com will also lead to enhanced product offerings by Escrow.com.”

It’s always a good move for a domain industry company to hire someone with domain industry  experience, especially someone like Mauli.
