GoDaddy Now Offering More WordPress Support

A couple of days ago, I wrote about GoDaddy’s assistance in helping me install the SSL certificate on my website. I made a short lived effort on my own, but I ended up getting some awesome technical support from GoDaddy to install the SSL correctly.

It looks like this extra help may have been part of a new offering the company announced in a press release yesterday that I just saw on LinkedIn: GoDaddy Launches WordPress Premium Support To Provide Small Businesses With 24×7 Expertise. Here’s an excerpt from the press release:

“GoDaddy is launching WP Premium Support to ensure that every GoDaddy customer with a WordPress site has the help they need to make the most of their online presence. WP Premium Support provides access to WordPress experts and GoDaddy’s acclaimed 24x7x365 customer support team to help members fix bugs quickly, improve site security, reduce bounce rate, increase site traffic and speed, and assist with Theme and Plugin installations or modifications.”

When I published my article, a couple of people implied that I received special treatment from the company. Whether I did or did not receive extra attention, it looks like this level of support is now available to any customer with a WordPress based website hosted at GoDaddy. This extra support is invaluable, especially for people who don’t have a huge WordPress or development knowledgebase.

Finding someone trustworthy, cost-effective, and available to work when help is needed can be a daunting task. I have a couple of developers I use, but there are times when I need something done right away and can’t afford to wait until they are available. Having this support at GoDaddy is great, and I am glad to see that it is available to others who need it.

  1. Elliot,

I work on the WP Premium Support product team and we thank you for the awesome comments and have shared them with the team. We have been offering the service now for a few months but have done so in a phased roll out. This has given us invaluable customer feedback to improve the product and when your issue was brought to our team we wanted to take the opportunity to work on your request.

    Thanks again Elliot!
