Future Media Architects (FMA) owns a portfolio of exceptional domain name assets, including some two letter .com domain names. The company has long owned AI.com, FM.com, and MR.com. In the last several years, the company has begun selling some of its domain names. More recently, FMA has been using the Saw.com domain name brokerage to manage its portfolio.
Whois records show that FM.com and MR.com have recently been transferred to a China-based domain registrant. Although Whois records are redacted at GoDaddy, it would appear to be the same buyer for both of these domain names. Neither domain name currently resolves to an active website though. I believe the company has been asking $2.5 million USD for FM.com and $1.25 million for MR.com.
I reached out to Amanda Waltz and Jeff Gabriel, co-founders of Saw.com to confirm that these two domain names were sold and to ask if they can share any information about the sales. Amanda confirmed that the domain names were sold by Saw.com, and Jeff told me “We are happy for our client, and the new registrant(s).”
As an aside, Saw.com also recently brokered the sale of Simulate.com on behalf of FMA. The buyer of the domain name would not comment about the acquisition or price other than refer me to Saw.com broker Brooke Hernandez who also could not comment:
As @DotWeekly mentioned earlier, @NUGGS acquired the high value https://t.co/3DVZSJIs2e domain name. I learned that the deal was brokered by @TheBrokerBrooke of @sawsells, but I could not get any more details from the buyer. The domain name was owned by FMA.

My guess is the sale price of FM.com and MR.com was into the seven figures, but I highly doubt we will learn an exact number for the deal.
AI.com is one of the most valuable domains in the world. Would be a shame to see it undersold.
Who would be a buyer for AI.com beyond domainers? Big stretch to say it is one of the most valuable domains in the world.
How many LL.com did Elequa have and how many ever found homes with endusers?
Elequa, congratulations. Nice sales.
I have to say I thought a two letter dot com would command a higher price but great sales.
