Dynadot Founder and CEO Todd Han announced a new domain name sales marketplace called NameClub. Currently in beta, NameClub appears to operate independently of the Dynadot domain registrar and can be found at NameClub.com.
Check out NameClub, our new domain marketplace. NameClub is optimized to sell domains to end users. It has logos, AI powered search, installment payments, and browsable categories. Still in beta because it was vibe coded by a small team. If you like it we can invest more… pic.twitter.com/u3K0SiP1uN

One thing users will notice immediately is the similarity to other domain marketplaces with generated logos for its domain name sale listings. As Todd mentioned, the platform uses AI-powered search tools to aid domain discovery for buyers. The platform charges a 10% sales commission for sold domain names.
The platform is running in conjunction with the existing Dynadot marketplace. In response to a question on X about signing up for an account, Todd mentioned that domain names that appraise at $1,000 or higher on the Dynadot marketplace will automatically show up on NameClub.
Notably, Todd mentioned that the marketplace was “vibe coded by a small team,” so I presume the platform is low on frills and might have some bugs that need to be worked out. Dynadot has proven itself to be a nimble platform with developers who are quick to implement updates and make fixes, so issues will likely be addressed quickly, especially if the platform gains momentum.
It’s always good to see new entrants in the domain name aftermarket. It helps with innovation and pushes the competition to be better.
Dynadot is one of the best registrars ever – but why on earth would anyone list a domain there for sale?
Despite being such a good registrar, they are a huge disappointment for any desire to sell anything.
Why is that?
Because what on earth are they thinking having every sales listing with an “APPRAISAL” figure beside it?
Seriously – what is anyone thinking?
I haven’t checked lately, but for a long time Estibot was “appraising” Crypto.com at something like $48,000. Even while it was about to be sold, and as I recall pretty sure for a while after. Maybe even now for all I know.
So you can have a domain which is worth 6 or even 7 figures in the real world, but if you list it at Dynadot, Dynadot may tell them it’s only worth $xxx or low $xxxx.
I may be someone who doesn’t seek to sell much anymore, but I would occasionally like to sell a few, and Dynadot is 100% UNUSABLE because of that.
Most especially for anything really valuable.
Sad. What a waste of an otherwise great registrar in the industry.
And how insane is it that this very bad dark reality has been so utterly *normalized* in people’s minds that even Konstantinos can just casually include a statement like this in his blog post about this today:
“You can add domains to the Dynadot marketplace and the domains that appraise for over $1000 will show up automatically on NameClub.”
“Normalized” – one of the most destructive phenomena in every area of life, from war and politics to even domain names.
In fairness though, perhaps he was simply paid to post that and wasn’t even thinking about such things.
Still – unreal.
“Appraise” – as they say, sure Jan.
• “So you can have a domain which is worth 6 or even 7 figures in the real world, but if you list it at Dynadot, Dynadot may tell them it’s only worth $xxx or low $xxxx.”
Yes – or even just five. Even 4.
It’s complete madness to list a domain when Dynadot itself is going to tell potential buyers it’s worth peanuts when it’s really worth high 4, 5, 6, or even sometimes 7 figures. In the case of crypto.com, if Dynadot had been doing something similar to what Estibot was doing, even 8 or more.
Time to ditch that “feature.” Everyone knows it’s nonsense to begin with.
