This morning, I noticed that Amazon registered a bunch of domain names with NLX in them. The company bought a large swath of domain names via corporate registrar Com Laude on April 21st. I noticed these domain name registrations with the help of the Registrant Monitor tool at DomainTools, and I shared what I found on X.
Some of the domain names Amazon registered included:
- AmazonNLX.com
- NLXAmazon.com
- AmazonNLX.ai
- GetNLX.com
- NLXApp.com
- NLXbyAmazon.com
- NLXCloud.com
I searched a bit to see if I could find a reason for why Amazon might register NLX-related domain names, and the only thing I could find was a press release from last year announcing a collaboration between NLX, Amazon, and Saks Fifth Avenue. My guess was that these domain names wouldn’t be related to that because it wouldn’t make sense for Amazon to own domain names like AmazonNLX.com and NLXAmazon.com for that type of collab.
This afternoon, Amazon published a press release announcing “NLX (nlx.ai) is joining Amazon Connect,” and it was shared with me on X.
It was wise of Amazon to register these domain names in advance of the news being published. Once news gets out, unrelated third parties may try to register domain names in an effort to either resell them to Amazon or use them in an abusive fashion. Neither is a good option.

Amazon my hometown hero.
I bought Amazon stock in the early 2000 and belly $$$$$happy. Am able to travel around the world via first class.
I told so many people to invest in Amazon because everyone loves Amazon because of the low prices and the convenience…so damn easy to return the Stuffs.
Nothing can go wrong.with Amazon…and Amazon will be up to $300 soon.
Don’t forget to visit the Amazon tropical garden when you are in downtown Seattle and get their free banana.
It’s wild that a corp like Amazon doesn’t use a registrar/WHOIS privacy that hides the Registrant Organization.
