While at NamesCon, Sedo introduced me to the InterNetX team, and they were excited to show off the latest version of AutoDNS, its domain name management platform. Since the conclusion of NamesCon, the InterNetX team continued to refine AutoDNS, and the platform is now in an open beta phase.
AutoDNS aims to be a comprehensive domain name management platform. According to InterNetX, here’s what AutoDNS provides:
Clarivate Analytics, the company that operates MarkMonitor, posted a job opportunity for a ccTLD Specialist. The job appears to be based out of the company’s Meridian, Idaho office. This job might be of interest to a reader looking to find a corporate job in the domain name space.

The Internet Commerce Association (ICA) will be hosting a public webcast on April 12th at 1pm EDT to share and discuss the ICA’s policy positions and interests. The webcast is open to ICA members as well as the general public interested in learning more about the ICA and the organization’s objectives.
The ICA is a trade organization that advocates for the rights and interests of domain name registrants. Many domain investors and industry service providers are members of the ICA.

Directnic is looking to hire a Director of Software Engineering. This is a mission critical domain registrar job opening at the company that operates both Directnic and Fabulous. The job opening will be based out of the company’s Tampa, Florida office.

Over the weekend, the business section of the New Zealand Herald featured an article about the growing business of Escrow.com. Featuring some insight from Freelancer.com CEO Matt Barrie, the article offered some insight into what Escrow.com does and how the company has grown into “almost a monopoly” in the domain name space. As you may recall, Escrow.com was acquired by Freelancer.com for $7.5 million USD in 2016 (the deal was announced in 2015).
In July of 2018, George Kirikos, an advocate for the rights of domain name registrants and domain investors (and self-described “long-time critic of ICANN”), posted a poll on Twitter asking people if he should start a blog. Nearly 150 people voted, with more than 2/3 choosing the “definitely” option:
