BeerRatings.com – For Sale

One of the best parts of my trip to Europe was spending time in Belgium drinking the various Belgian beers. I was fortunate enough to have enjoyed all six Belgian Trappist beers, including the hard to find Westvleteren 12 (also known as Westy).

I recently acquired BeerRatings.com, and the domain name is now for sale for $6,000. Obviously, I think it would be a great domain name for a beer ratings and discussion website, not unlike DogPark.com. There are thousands of beers from around the world, and clearly, there is no shortage of advertising revenue.

Whether you want to build the beer database on your own or use the Open Beer Database (for free) as your starting point, you can create a website that would be fun to operate and probably give you some credibility when you belly up to your favorite bar or visit your favorite beer store (mine happens to be Shangy’s in Emmaus, PA).

If you would like to move forward and purchase BeerRatings.com for $6,000, post “sold” in the comment section. First to post sold will be able to buy the domain name. We will use Escrow.com and split the fee.

I really like BeerRatings.com, and I think it will be a fun project for someone, although I don’t have the time to build it right now.
