Check out this funny You Tube video currently making the rounds called “Already Bought The Domain.”
Sometimes I think people in our business actually think like this… the domain name is generally a starting point. Sometimes it’s a great starting point, but there are many other factors that transform a great domain name into a business.
Thanks to KAP from DBR for sharing this with me.
Especially since I work on animations I think its great. Thanks for posting Elliot.
Maybe the GoDaddy.co Super Bowl commercial was an inspiration for that video.
I think it’s making fun of domain owners in general.
They’re not making fun of ‘domain owners’ (even though it applies to most all domainers) as much as they’re making fun of a particularly obnoxious turd in the startup toilet.
The know-nothing, do-nothing pipe dreamers who think that their own fantasies and a .com are enough to warrant peoples attention and that it will all magically morph into money; people who think they’re on they’re halfway to a bonafide ‘startup’ by spending $8,99 at Godaddy.
Hello Elliot,
Maybe owning the .com is not the end game? But it sure is nice to own an irreplaceable Asset that Alpha is seeking.

Actually Eliott yes some people who control the very prime Virtual Business Foundations know they can think like this.

There are many delusional people out there
I like you too much to carry this further but all I can say is look in the mirror.

I don’t know you, so that wasn’t a personal comment.
