10 Recent Domain Name Buys for Less than $100 at GoDaddy Auctions

It’s hard to find good values at expiry auctions these days. There is a lot of competition, and the sale prices have continued to climb over the last few years. Perhaps we have seen a plateau in expiry auction prices, but I don’t follow enough auctions to really say if that is the case with any degree of certainty.

These days, I am hoarding cash more than buying anything, and I don’t chase as many domain names at auctions because of their pricing. I look for good value in the auctions I bid on, and I don’t bid more aggressively than my comfort level. I am sure I have lost plenty of auctions I might have had room to bid on more aggressively, but I am comfortable with my portfolio.

With that said, I thought I would share a list of 10 recent GoDaddy Auctions buys that cost less than $100/each. I invite you to share yours as well if you would like. Here are some of mine:

  • PracticalPrevention.com
  • VirtualTherapists.com
  • DefinitiveFunding.com
  • DependableDevelopment.com
  • SuccessExchange.com
  • RemarkableHoldings.com
  • BallDown.com
  • FantasyPickers.com
  • WarriorCouncil.com
  • WinnersVentures.com

There aren’t any hugely valuable domain names on this list, but my guess is that at least one will sell within the year because they are priced right, and I think at least a few will sell within the next several years.

Overall, my ROI on auction buys in the last couple of years has been very strong. I have to be more picky because the auction prices have risen more than I believe the retail market could sustain, but there is still value to be had.

    • Could, however, be extremely “dicey” to find a good buyer if selling is the goal, notwithstanding being a good domain in terms of commercial end user potential.

    • Several of the other ones also pretty good in fact, though some also very “dicey” nonetheless in terms of selling potential. The most sellable one there overall is the three word one, i.e. re cannabis.

  7. I thought I had made my share of mistakes over the years and even still make a few, but frankly it amazes me that people waste time and money on domains like this, with only *few* exceptions. And I’m just being honest here.
