Water Night Tickets Available to Non-NamesCon Attendees

NamesCon is a big sponsor of The Water School, “a global non-profit organization with a mission to provide simple, safe, strategic, and sustainable clean water and sanitation solutions to the developing world.” In fact, many people that are in the domain investment business have been supporters of this 501(c)3 charity for a number of years.

Water Night is a NamesCon party that raises funds for The Water School. Water Night will be held tonight (Monday, January 12) from 9pm – 1am at the Havana Club in the Tropicana Hotel. There is no additional cost for NamesCon registrants to attend the party.

According to the event website, “WaterNight continues in 2015 with donations being matched by both NameCheap and NamesCon. This means that a total of $3 for every $1 raised from the crowd at WaterNight goes to fund clean water projects!” Conference organizers are hoping to raise $75,000 for The Water School from this event.

If you aren’t attending NamesCon and you will be in the area, you are still able to buy tickets to attend the Water Night fundraising party. The non-attendee ticket cost is $199, and all proceeds will be donated to the Water School. Tickets may be purchased online at WaterNight.org, and I believe they may also be purchased at the door later on tonight.

This is nice to do for those of us who have friends in the area or significant others who want to attend the party but didn’t want to buy a full conference pass. In addition, there may be some people in the domain space who live in the area but couldn’t attend the conference for some reason.

Hopefully the $75k fundraising goal will be surpassed!
