Tucows Hiring Product Manager, Domains

Tucows posted a job opening on LinkedIn for a Product Manager in its Domains group. Tucows operates a domain name registrar, as well as Hover, Enom, and associated registrars. The job opportunity is based out of the company’s Toronto, Canada headquarters.

Here’s what the job entails:

“As a Product Manager at Tucows is you’ll be challenged with diving in and getting up to speed quickly in the domain name industry. Doing so will enable you to develop a brilliant product strategy that is shaped by market trends, customer needs, and immediate business opportunities.”

It does not look like a domain industry background or domain industry experience is a requirement. In fact, under the “nice to have” section of the post, “Knowledge of the domain industry, or related industries” is listed. Because Tucows has such a large presence in the domain space, this could be a good opportunity for someone with industry knowledge who meets the required qualifications.

It looks like the opportunity was posted a bit over a month ago, and there have been 30 applicants for this job so far via the LinkedIn post. I presume nobody has been hired to fill this position yet or they would have likely taken down the job posting to reflect this.
