I would contact via Whois.
The NFC space is very interesting, could be huge. Not surprisingly mostly picked clean. I hand reg’d NFCHere.com the idea being an NFC encoded sticker retailers would put in their window.

Another way of doing it, would be go to the site you’re after, then if it has a contact us section, do it that way – in the case of parked-sites, all emails are sent to the owner of the domain.
