In a Domain Name Wire article, James Iles recently wrote about the launch of Ocho Wealth, which uses the valuable Ocho.com domain name. At the time of publication, the acquisition price of Ocho.com was not known. If I would have guessed the acquisition price, I surely would have been in the six figures. Ocho.com is a Spanish one word .com domain name, is easy to spell, and it is short. It has all the hallmarks of a valuable domain name.
Ocho Wealth was founded by Ankur Nagpal, who is no stranger to great brand names and matching domain name. He also founded Teachable, which operates on Teachable.com. On Twitter this morning, Ankur shared the acquisition price for both Teachable.com and for Ocho.com. Teachable.com was acquired for $25,000 in 2015 and Ocho.com was acquired for $45,000 this year:
Whenever I see a startup with a premium .com (which I think is a dope way to differentiate, btw) I’m always curious to know how much it cost
Our numbers were:
$25K for teachable .com in 2015
$45K for ocho .com in 2022If you own a dope domain, how much did you pay for it?

In my opinion, he got a great deal on both domain names, particularly Ocho.com. I am pretty certain there are investors who would have paid that or more to acquire Ocho.com. I certainly would have given it some thought.
Thanks to nf.td/victor for sharing this with me on Twitter.
Someone left a LIFE-CHANGING amount of money on the table!!
SAD!!!!
Teachable.com – someone got real good money for that one.
Ocho.com – more to the story on this one ?
Ocho.com for only $45k?!! Had to be a highly “motivated seller” to take a beating like that!
You speak the truth always 💯. When you call it out ,they hate you. They must have been brainwashed to sell at that price.
Who is the seller?
Seller must not read the domain sales news.
My thought as well Rick. 25k and 45k? Nothing money. Both should have been 6-figure sales.
I probably way overpaid $6500 for Spreadable.com
So I am not sure I see much in Teachable.com

No, Spreadable.com is very good, with a great breadth of literal and figurative uses. You way underpaid, even if it takes a while to sell. In all candor though, I would try to use it while its for sale.
Just google (with quotes): “able.com” to appreciate Teachable; and all “able.coms.”
