My Favorite Domainers Choice Awards Category

Yesterday morning, Donna Mahony announced that nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 Domainers Choice Awards. There are 15 award categories this year. Voting is being tabulated by a third party voting service called VoteNet.com.

My favorite award in the Domainers Choice Awards category is the Industry Customer Service Rep award:

“This award is to honor the customer service representative that consistently goes above and beyond to provide the highest levels of service to the domain community. Please include their name, company, and title, and a brief description of why you feel that they deserve to be recognized. The reason as to why MUST be included.”

There are quite a few people who provide exceptional service for their clients. Some of these people are in a customer service position, and others only have customer service as a part of their job description.

In a situation where there are many companies offering very similar products and services, it is often because of great customer service that I continue my relationship with the company. Things like pricing and security are also important, but I appreciate it when someone is there to offer assistance when necessary.

There are plenty of good categories in the Domainers Choice Awards (and THE Domain Conference industry awards). There are many deserving people and companies who will receive awards. I think the Industry Customer Service Rep is a great award that should be given to a deserving person. I would imagine this particular award will help the recipient’s career more than other awards. Even if you don’t usually nominate people for awards and vote for award winners, I think you should consider nominating someone who goes above and beyond to help win your business.

There are many great customer service representatives and account managers who are deserving of this award. I am sure most would be honored and appreciative if they are nominated by their clients.
