Joel Embiid Files UDRP to Get JoelEmbiid.com

NBA basketball player Joel Embiid, who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers, filed a UDRP at the World Intellectual Property Organization to secure the JoelEmbiid.com domain name. The UDRP was recently filed, and it is WIPO Case D2026-1817.

The JoelEmbiid.com domain name was created in August of 2012. Notably, Embiid was the third overall draft pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He played one college basketball season at the University of Kansas. This means the domain name was created before Embiid went to college.

JoelEmbiid.com is registered under Whois privacy at GoDaddy, so the current registrant is not publicly known. The domain name has generic GoDaddy nameservers, and it resolves to an Afternic-powered landing page. At the moment, it does not appear to be listed for sale.

I won’t predict how this UDRP is going to go, but I won’t be surprised if Embiid ends up with the domain name.
