I just learned about the INVEST domain conference that is scheduled for May 20-21, 2013 in Mexico City, Mexico. According to the INVEST website, this year marks the fifth annual conference, which focuses on domain names and Internet marketing.
There are a number of interesting panels, speakers, and discussions, and it doesn’t appear to be focused on the Mexican marketplace. I am not sure what language will be used as the primary form of communication during the conference, so you’ll want to check on that before committing. Braden Pollock will be moderating the conference, so I would believe English is the primary language.
According the conference website, these are the objectives:
Discuss the different Internet investment trends and opportunities.
Analyze the domain names market global and regional situation.
Innovate in developing and optimizing websites: campaigns, services, commerce, content.
Predict the behavior of agents that define the course: search engines, networks, applications.
Optimize and take advantage of existing resources for online advertising campaigns.
Consolidate professional and personal bonds with suppliers and colleagues.
Enjoy the event venue performing typical rides and activities.
There are two levels of conference passes. The basic conference pass costs $59 through May 10 and $79 from May 10-17. This pass gets you into most conference events May 20-21 as well as coffee breaks and a conference shirt. The VIP pass is $229 through May 10 and $279 from May 10-17. This pass gives you full access to the conference as well as special city tours on May 22.
INVEST will be held at Mexico City’s Galeria Plaza Hotel. Room rates start at $100 per night for a single room.
Any domain auctions? Can we submit domains to the conference?
Anyone know of a .com.mx backordering service?
