ILove.Gay – First .Gay Website Goes Online

The first .Gay website went online this week, according to an email I received from the .Gay registry, Top Level Design. ILove.Gay was launched this week by Pink Media, becoming the first .Gay domain name website to launch. The registry also published blog post with details about this website and information about .Gay:

The .Gay sunrise period began earlier this week, and trademark holders are now able to reserve their trademark .Gay domain names. In my DomainTools Registrant Alert email this morning, I saw that Apple secured Apple.Gay and Beats.Gay. I presume many other companies will also secure their .Gay domain names. It will be interesting to see if any big brands use their .Gay domain names beyond forwarding.

Top Level Design published a press release with information about the sunrise period for .Gay. According to that PR, “.gay is making an industry-first commitment to donate 20 percent of all new registration revenue to nonprofit partners.”

For domain investors who are interested in buying . Gay domain names, the Early Access Period with higher pricing runs from May 11 – 18, 2020. The General Availability period to hand register .Gay domain names begins on May 20, 2020.
