GoDaddy to Host Domain Academy Meetup in Arizona

GoDaddy will be hosting a Domain Academy meetup in the company’s Tempe, Arizona office on May 7th. Domain investors who are members of the Domain Academy platform are invited to attend the in-person meeting. The free event will be held from 3-7pm, and an RSVP is requested.

If I didn’t have family commitments, I would consider attending. If I were to attend, I would be sure to set meetings with my Afternic and GoDaddy partners who I work with on a regular basis. I haven’t personally met a few of these people, and it would be a good chance to meet in person.

James Iles expanded on this a bit and said there are some sessions lined up, so it looks like it will be more than just an informal get together.

  1. Thanks for sharing this Elliot! The rsvp has more info as does our blog events section https://blog.domainacademy.com/event/arizona-domain-investor-meetup-tempe-may-7-3pm-7pm/

The gist of it is we want to make this a special event for people, like a meetup+ So we will have:
hour 1 – networking and office tour etc
hour 2 – one of three classes with the goal of really helping people who come
    a. Auctions API access and setup – if you wanted api access and are at the event we make sure you leave with it and get it working with one of our developers on hand on zoom to help with it.
    b. Sell more with Afternic, our best tips, tricks, and advice from our leading Afternic sales reps.
    c. DomainNames.com – want to get your name listed for sale there? What we do, how we sell, what kind of names we want. Led by Broker Tom McCarthy who brokered voice.com among others.

The plan is to have an all star list of people who we think can really help attendees take things to the next level.

    3. Hours 3-4 hang out and network more around the office there are plenty of places to eat and drink in walking distance as we are very close to ASU.

We really think it will be a great time and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone. RSVP is here: https://forms.gle/g5PECdBTK5azvzfW6
