How to Request Bulk Auth Codes from NameBright

I have ramped up my auction participation at DropCatch.com this year, and I’ve bought close to 200 domain names via the drop catching auction platform so far. Once the domain names are purchased at DropCatch, they migrate to partner registrar, NameBright.

I like the functionality and ease of use of NameBright, but I want my domain names listed in the Fast Transfer network at GoDaddy and Afternic, so I transfer my domain names to my GoDaddy account every once in a while to ensure they are getting maximum exposure there. Doing a bulk domain name transfer from NameBright to GoDaddy is relatively easy, but doing a bulk authorization code request at NameBright is not easy to find.

Here’s how to request a bulk group of domain name auth codes for transfer at NameBright:

  • Login to your NameBright account
  • Click “Categories”
  • Click “Settings”
  • Click “Download Auth Codes”

This will give you the file type option from which to choose, and then it will download the list of names in the category with the expiration dates, lock status, and authorization codes listed. If you have more than one category of domain names in your account, you will need to do this for each category.

You can then use the authorization codes to request a transfer to the registrar of your choice. One benefit of having a Premier Service account rep at GoDaddy is that I can email him the domain names and authorization codes for an even easier transfer.

I wish NameBright was a part of Afternic’s Fast Transfer network, but until then, I will need to transfer my DropCatch wins to my GoDaddy account so they are eligible.

  1. Thanks for the tip.

NameBright is very impressive. Fast, clean, good pricing…very impressive. They know what they are doing.

  2. How do you go about names that are already listed in Afternic or go under review??
I have attempted to list names. Some are already listed and some have been under review for months.
I have contacted support via their contact form but have had no response.
