Free Afilias Webinar: Learn to Launch a New gTLD

AfiliasI know it’s fairly late to let you know about this, but Afilias will be hosting a free one hour webinar at 10am Eastern today to discuss a variety of topics related to launching a new gTLD. Although the application window for this round has been closed for quite some time, there will likely be future application rounds for people who want to launch a .brand extension or other new extension.

In this webinar that will begin shortly,  Roland LaPlante,  SVP and CMO of  Afilias will discuss important issues related to applying for and launching a new domain extension. LaPlante will discuss the company’s learnings based on their launch of the .info extension and other new gTLD launches since then.

Here’s what the company says will be discussed on the webinar:

“During this session, go behind the scenes with Mr. LaPlante as he engages you in a discussion of key lessons learned from the  original new gTLD launch (.INFO) and new gTLD launches since then. Learn how new gTLD owners can apply these valuable  lessons learned to their own launches with an eye towards ensuring a smooth and successful launch.”

If you’d like to participate, you will need to register first on the website. There will also be a question and answer period at the end if you’d like to ask specific questions.
