I was attempting to log in to my account at DropCatch.com this afternoon when I encountered some difficulty. A couple of times I saw a system maintenance landing page which prevented me from doing anything on the website. A few additional refreshes later, and I was able to access the login screen but unable to login. Instead, I saw the error message, “Sorry, we cannot log you in at this time.”
I reached out to DropCatch.com to ensure the company was aware of the problem – and also to double check that it wasn’t isolated to my account or a subset of accounts. I was told the company is aware of the issue and working on resolving it. I was also told the website should be back up and operational soon.
There are quite a few domain name auctions ending soon, and it would be a shame if the update isn’t made before the auctions end for the day. I hope the Drop Catch team is able to Push It soon.
Looks like the website is up and running again. I was able to place a bid on auctions, but I did not receive an outbid email. Looks like some auctions that were supposed to end have had 12 hours added to them.
They extended everything 11 hours. Hope you didn’t have plans tonight.
DC man…. bring back legacy and fire whoever came up with this slow javascript laden mess of a site.
From what I can quickly tell, it looks like they changed it to 24 hours.
I won a domain name at the dropcatch auction and the domain name never showed up in my shopping cart (as it usually does after I win a domain name). I emailed support and no response yet after about 19 hours. Anyone encounter this issue also and how it got resolved? I really don’t want to lose my domain name.
Is it listed under your buying activity? https://www.dropcatch.com/account/buying-activity
If so, what’s the status?
It’s Sunday, so if you emailed them less than 24 hours ago, that would be Saturday. Many / most companies do not have customer facing employees working on the weekend, with the exception of large companies like GoDaddy.
Dropcatch support was very kind to respond that there was a delay from the domain being added to the shopping cart after auction end. They corrected it, and i received the email notification and was able to pay for it on the shopping cart. Domain is now in my namebright account.
