DotWeekly Tools Help Me Find and Evaluate Domain Names

Jamie Zoch recently converted DotWeekly into a domain name intelligence platform with numerous tools to help domain name buyers find and evaluate domain names. The platform offers several different tools with many filters domain investors can use to hone in on domain names that meet their search criteria. These tools are also helpful to retail buyers who are looking for a domain name.

For the last several weeks, I have been using DotWeekly to find domain names that are coming up for auction on GoDaddy, NameJet, and Namecheap. I like the fact that I can sort the domain names using the filters that suit my needs. I have been using DotWeekly in addition to the tools and lists I have been using for years, and it is been a great supplementary tool to identify domain names that should be on my radar.

In addition to visiting DotWeekly almost daily, I signed up for the DotWeekly Daily Highlights / Last Call email. These notifications give me a quick glance of the top domain names coming up for auction. DotWeekly has become one of my daily tools to help ensure I put an eye on as many pending and upcoming domain name auctions as possible.

One of the things I appreciate about the platform is Jamie’s continued work on improvement. Jamie has sought out advice from users and acted on feedback to improve the platform. I have offered some feedback on what could be done to improve my user experience, and Jamie was quick to take action.

At the moment, there is no charge to use the tools offered at DotWeekly. Jamie is monetizing the website via affiliate links, theoretically meaning he will earn revenue when someone buys a domain name at auction after clicking through from his website. From what I understand, that can be a tough business model. Jamie is relying on users to “gift” Anthropic’s Claude Max 5x usage to keep the website operating. I think that is a pretty good deal considering all of the ongoing work Jamie has been doing.

  1. Thank you so much Elliot for the article and your support. DotWeekly has really grown since I started building it in early February with a complex parsing/camel casing engine that is extremely complex but very helpful to those viewing domains. The dictionary filtering creates ways for people to find inventory like never before using Smart Filters and types of popular domains. Although earning revenue is challenging with expired domains as nearly all the services do not offer an affiliate program, I will continue to try my best to provide actual useful tools to the community I love so much. Just today I converted the homepage offering an extensive and new way to find aftermarket inventory but you can still utilize DotWeekly for expired domain inventory and much more.
