Dates Set for NamesCon Europe 2020

NamesCon organizers announced the dates of the 2020 NamesCon Europe conference earlier this morning. NamesCon Europe 2020 will be held in the city of Budapest, Hungary from August 6 – 8, 2020. The conference will be held at the Budapest Marriott Hotel, which is on the bank of the Danube River. You can learn more about the conference and see the agenda when it is posted on the NamesCon Europe website.

Along with announcing the dates of the conference, organizers have also offered an early-bird discount on conference passes. By booking in advance, attendees will pay €249 (plus a VAT fee of €47.31). This is approximately $331 USD at today’s conversion rate. Tickets may be purchased using EventBrite. The event website says only 50 pre-sale passes are available at the discounted rate.

Although I had hoped to attend NamesCon Europe again, the August date makes this one doubtful for me due to the Pan-Mass Challenge bike ride I do annually. It should also be noted that Rick Schwartz hosted his Asheville, North Carolina meetup in early August last year, and I believe he may be planning another event for the Summer. Hopefully those two events do not conflict since I know several people who attended NamesCon Europe with me in Portugal who also attended Rick’s event last year.
