Christine Jones, Former EVP of Go Daddy, to Run for Arizona Governor

According to a tweet this afternoon, Christine Jones, the former Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Go Daddy, filed paperwork to run for the office of Governor in the state of Arizona. Ms. Jones will be running on the Republican party ticket, and the election will be held on November 4, 2014.

Wisely, Ms. Jones owns the exact match domain name,, and it appears that she will use the domain name for her campaign website.

For many years, Ms. Jones was the second most public face of Go Daddy behind its founder, Bob Parsons. When there were policy or legal issues regarding Go Daddy or domain names, Ms. Jones was often cited in mainstream news reports.

Here’s wishing Ms. Jones all the best in her run for Governor!

Let us know where we can contribute to the election campaign (if you can take out of state donations).

Could Arizona become the crib for a domain law?

I do not have a relationship with Ms. Jones, so you’ll have to reach out to her elsewhere. Perhaps you can get in touch by sending her a tweet on Twitter.

It amazes me that she has the twitter handle @JonesforGov but didn’t secure the same domain and someone else did today under privacy. Seriously, she worked for Godaddy and didn’t secure the name. For God sakes she worked for Godaddy and doesn’t understand she should have registered the name? Funny thing is the person that did get the name ended up registering it at Godaddy. Thats laughable. is owned by another guy who ran in 2006.

I’m not saying she will or will not use it but to keep in control of something that could hurt you in the business or political world is a no brainer. In my opinion Big Mistake.

Possibly, but someone could easily register one of hundreds of other extension or variations.

An in fact I am handling a consulting project for a well known politician that needs to buy various domain names that have fallen into the wrong hands.

    James Bond

I saw her at the PC meeting in Scottsdale months ago and when some man asked her a very simple question, she never answered him. Bizzare!! She was also at our meeting and I asked her a question and she was rambling about something else and Im sitting there, can’t believe my ears, then finally she answered. And I dont know if she was correct! Strange. Alao her husband is INDEPENDANT, which means she is probably a Democrat.

Christine Jones is a complete and utter joke. The Rio Grande is not in Arizona. Duh. Also- her praising Sheriff Joe for putting water in the desert for illegals is not only a blatant lie but down right disgusting that she is trying to make him out as some sort humanitarian. Disgusting. Joe has anyone who supplies water or creates water stations arrested for aiding and abetting. So to praise him shows just what a hypocrite and low life human you truly are. The only thing Joe puts in the deserts is crosses where he finds the bodies of people who died of dehydration.

You and him are perfect for each other- you are full of hate and wish nothing more than to see America destroyed and the Constitution burned.

Do us all a favor and go live in the middle east were folks like you will be appreciated and welcomed by the Taliban.

And one more thing – stop praising her for GoDaddy- she did not create this company, nor did she make it a success. She did not create the technology. She did not market the technology. She did nothing but fill out legal forms. The success of this company belongs to the those who made it happen and Christine was not one.

The Borders will never be secured un less we have reform and there are Strict laws to keep those borders secured. We need Immigration Reform now! GOD Bless this wonderful states, keep it beautiful and free from Bigotry!! Amen,
