Charity Auction Raises Over $5,600

I want to once again thank all of those who bid on domain names and services in the Domain Boardroom and Escrow.com sponsored auction that will benefit the American Red Cross. I especially want to thank the people who offered up their domain names and services. The auction raised a total of $5,655 in bids.

Donna Mahony from Domain Boardroom is going to contact all of the winning bidders via email to let them know they won. Sellers will be instructed to begin transactions at Escrow.com with each buyer as soon as they can. As mentioned before, Escrow.com is NOT charging anyone for their services for this, and the company will distribute all proceeds collected to the American Red Cross. There might be a bit of a lag due to the Memorial Day holiday and TRAFFIC  conference  (depending on the plans of sellers who are starting these transactions).

You might notice a difference between the final tally on the original auction and the number posted here. On the guest post lot, JP bid $600 at 4:59pm and Ammar bid $750 right on the dot at 5pm. I spoke with both parties and offered them both the guest post slot for $600/each, so that raised an additional $450.

I really appreciate all of the domain industry support with this. The people in Oklahoma are going through a horrific life event right now, and I am sure the funds will be used by the American Red Cross in a meaningful way.

Here are the final results… if you see something funky, please let me know ASAP! I am human, and it’s possible that a mistake was made in my recording:

  1. As a follow up to Andee, if your escrow email address is different than the email you used to post your bid/comment, please let Donna know ASAP so the seller sets it up correctly.
