Sedo Call for Submissions: iGaming Auction

Sedo put out a call for domain name submissions for its upcoming iGaming Auction. The auction and marketplace platform is seeking gambling and gaming related domain name submissions for the auction that will be held in November.

Here’s what I was told about the upcoming auction:

October 2019 GreatDomains Results

The GreatDomains auction for the month of October concluded this afternoon. In total, 25 domain names were sold in the auction for a total of nearly $100,000 USD in sales. The three largest sales in the auction were three letter .com domain names. OLI.com sold for $50,000 and represented the largest sale of the auction.

Sedo Automated Follow-Up Email Closes the Deal

In 2013, I made an offer to buy Pulmonology.com via Sedo. Unfortunately, my offer was below the registrant’s expectations, and we were unable to reach a deal. In May of 2016, I received a follow up email from Sedo to let me know the registrant added a BIN price, and in September of 2016, another follow-up email informed me the seller decreased the price. I was not interested.

On Sunday, I received another follow up email from Sedo about the domain name:

Sedo Announces 12 New Sales Landing Page Options

Less than a month ago, Sedo announced a new sales landing page that could be implemented by sellers who use the platform and park their domain names with Sedo nameservers. This morning, I received an email announcement from Sedo letting customers know the company has made 12 additional domain name sales landing pages options from which customers can choose / customize.

The announcement I received included information about what is included in the 12 landing page options:

Sedo’s September 2019 Great Domains Auction Results

Sedo’s Great Domains monthly auction ended this afternoon, and there 21 domain names that sold in the auction. The largest sale of the month was Upgrades.com, which closed at $32,000. I was a bidder in the auction, although I did not win it. DNE.com was the next highest sale, closing at $26,666. This was followed by two other three letter .com domain names – HVW.com and IYW.com.
