Badger.com Acquired for $300,000

The Badger.com domain name has been acquired for $300,000 according to an article on Coin Telegraph. The domain name forwarded to a landing page on the Media Options website, where it was listed for sale for several years. Badger DAO will be the end user of the Badger.com domain name.

I reached out to Andrew Rosener, CEO of Media Options, to ask about the sale of Badger.com. Andrew confirmed the domain name was sold for $300k, and that Media Options brokered the sale. Andrew told me his company was not the owner of Badger.com at the time of this deal. In a 2016 interview, Andrew mentioned that his company had sold Badger.com, so that buyer must have been the seller of the asset.

Badger.com is now registered under privacy at NameSilo. The domain name does not yet resolve to an active website at the time of publication.

I have added the $300,000 sale of Badger.com to the Embrace.com list of recent publicly reported one word .com domain name sales. It will also make an appearance on DNJournal’s list of publicly reported sales once Ron makes an update later on this week.

There have been quite a few high value domain name sales so far in Q1 of 2021, and I think the trend will continue.

  1. A nice bit of help in that coin telegraph article : “We have seen a 5x in our web3 calls to our Alchemy instances that coincided with the procurement of http://sushi.com. I think from a branding perspective it has been a boon,” Delong said.

  2. The only badger I know is the honey Badger, it is one bad ass animal and their motto is “don’t f with me” and ” I don’t give a shit”. They are so damn relentless and full of determination when comes to finding food and if you ever seen one going after a snake, what a show. They just chopped the head off with one bite and then eat the whole thing down like a candy cane….a 12ft snake in less than 20mins and after that they will go find more food-voracious appetite.
This is the most fearsome animal and lots of respect….BAD-ger
Their kissin cousin is the wolverine -another bad ass!! no fear.

google it on youtube and you will see them in action
