Atom.com Prepping for Black Friday in July

Atom.com is getting ready to host a site-wide sale billed as “Black Friday in July.” The sale event runs July 21-30, and Atom sellers can opt into the program to participate. Sellers who participate will allow Atom to automatically discount their domain names up to 25% off the purchase price.

In its announcement message, Atom mention the platform has “seen domain sales increase by 30–50% during the sale period” in prior years. I believe buyers who are tracking prices on Atom will be notified when a domain name has a price reduction / discount.

In order for sellers to participate, they will need to opt-in to the special promotion by July 13th. Sellers who don’t want to participate should ensure the toggle is set to “off” to opt-out. I am not sure if I participated in the past, so I will be turning this off. In general, I don’t discount my domain names more than 15% on the platform, and I do that infrequently.

Domain names listed for $75,000 or higher and domain names on Atom’s Ultra Premium Marketplace (UPM) will not be eligible for this special offer.

The message about this sale was sent to me via the Atom messaging platform. Sellers who want more information can find the notification with full details in their control panel.
