He was an active buyer of domains on ebay, I know he let some expire by accident about a year back, some really good ones, but he has invested a lot of his earnings into domains, and he does have some gems. MCommerce would make perfect sense given how significant t.e M is within his given name.
Your two cents worth, which avenue would fetch up the best value for a domain to be sold? The Domain Auctions Companies who have lots of domains in their listings? Or Individual domain managers who flip domains for others? Which is the most secure route?

Depends if the name is good or not. Nobody is going to spend their time trying to sell a name that isn’t worth much or is overpriced.
Circa 2006-2007, I had really good .com/.net/.org domains from an SEO vantage point. I was curious about domain-flipping but I wasn’t that intent on selling my domains (when I buy DNs, I usually already have a biz/site plan in mind).
I set a BIN which I believed should be the domain’s worth, SEO-wise. The domain consultant said it would be better if I didn’t, so I heeded the advice.
Come auction time, an offer was made for $400, I didn’t wanna sell it at that price. The domain manager said I had to. I could have argued stating it wasn’t the price I had in mind but I let that one domain go charging it to experience.
For my later listings, more premium than the one sold, I wasn’t receiving replies or follow-ups from the domain consultant.
I wonder if they were busy with better domain inventory.
Anyway, that made me rethink about going the public auction way via a domain auction company. Just wondering if there would be better options.
