Sedo’s Great Domains September auction closed last week, and I have posted the results blow. The six figure sale of Fahrrad.com was the highest value sale. According to Wikipedia, fahrrad means “bicycle” in German.
In total, the auction did close to a quarter of a million USD. (P) below indicates a website/content was included with the domain name.

That is pathetic
I found it discouraging. : \
why is it that .org domain names aren’t there, does it mean that they are valueless or what?
You can’t really make a blanket statement about a registry. Help.org has significant value, but RedHeadedHookers.org does not (in my opinion).
@eb, you are correct, i will try to list my 3 letter .org with them
Why do i see the same problem here as well in sedo regarding the currency valuation ?
The list should be according to the highest $$$$$or lowest $$
the value of € is different then $$ or pound
so, if you put little extra effort and convert all the currency to us$ that will give the better picture.
I think there is an ongoing inability from the folks at Sedo, or whoever they put in charge of picking names, to pick good domain names, hence these pathetic auction results. It’s been going on for awhile now. I see better names available daily over at Namejet and this is they best they can do for a monthly auction?
It nearly imposiple to get a real premium domain on the Sedo premium auctions, the same with top domains. For me it almost looks like someone at Sedo are selling and picking own domains.
Cause why would you list so shit names, when many sellers have better they want listed.
So, on those $100 sales,
does sedo get 10%, or $60.00
What a joke.
Perhaps new clients, too. Even if they don’t make much revenue, they still get new clients to sign up I assume.
