Sedo’s Senior Broker Dave Evanson reported the sale of Scaffolding.com yesterday. The domain name sold for $46,666, and it was the largest domain name of the week publicly reported at Sedo.

Notably, the domain name is already being used by the buyer.
Scaffolding.com was acquired by a company called Coronet Scaffold. Interestingly to me, this company uses Scaffold-Equipment.com for its website. This differs from the company’s corporate domain name used for email – Coronet-Scaffold.com. All of these domain names now forward to Scaffold-Equipment.com.
When I lived in Manhattan – and still today – scaffolding is a ubiquitous part of the city environment. It’s almost everywhere you look. Despite passing under and through scaffolding nearly every day, I couldn’t tell you the name of a single company that specializes in this equipment.
Securing the category defining .com domain name for less than $50,000 is quite the coup for this company.
