InterNetX and Sedo Publish Global Domain Report

1

When I was attending NamesCon, I received an email from Sedo announcing the release of the 2020 Global Domain Report in collaboration with InterNetX, an advertiser here. I did not have a chance to read the report while I was away, but I read it last night. The free report “includes insights into the status quo of the domain industry, along with the latest developments, tendencies and trends of the global domain market and provides a view on potential market and business opportunities.”

Profitable.com Sold via Sedo for $200,000

Dave Evanson, Senior Domain Broker at Sedo, announced that he brokered the sale of Profitable.com for $200,000. Current Whois records show that the domain name just moved into Sedo’s escrow account, so it would seem that the buyer already paid for the domain name and the transfer of the domain name is pending:

Another large sale will be added to the 2019 domain name sales reports at DNJournal and NameBio. Results.com was sold for $264,000 in December of 2019. The domain name was brokered by Sedo Senior Broker Dave Evanson, and although Dave nor Sedo reported the sale publicly, Dave confirmed that he brokered the sale of the domain name. As you can see, a business has already been launched on the Results.com domain name.

Sedo LLLL.com Auction Results

Sedo held a special auction this past week featuring four letter .com domain names. The auction concluded earlier this afternoon, and the results of the auction are below.

In total, 83 LLLL.com domain names were sold for a total value of around $40,000 USD. The sales have not yet closed, so they should be considered tentative until Sedo reports them publicly.

Sedo: 4L.com Auction Postponed One Week

Sedo had been expected to begin a week long four letter .com auction today, which would conclude on November 7th. I was informed by a representative from Sedo that due to some website updates, the auction has been postponed one week.

Here’s what I was told about why the 4L .com auction was postponed for a week:
