BikeToursDirect Rebrands as BikeTours.com

BikeToursDirect is a company that represents more than 100 bike tour operators in over 70 countries around the world. The company was established as BikeToursDirect in 2003, and the company recently rebranded to BikeTours.com. When you visit BikeToursDirect.com, you are forwarded to BikeTours.com.

On the homepage, there is an interstitial overlay with a message from the founder stating, “We’ve changed our name and expanded our site to reflect the broad spectrum of tours we now offer across the globe. We want to spread the joy of bike touring — and we hope our new look and content will inspire you to explore the world on two wheels!

There is also a link to a page on the website with more information about the rebranding. Here are some additional details:

We’ve been constantly evolving since BikeToursDirect was started in 2003. Our sole focus back then was on low-cost bicycle tours in Europe. But since then we’ve expanded to give you options across a broad spectrum of budgets, levels of difficulty, and destinations worldwide. Our revamped identity reflects those changes and our mission to spread the joy of bike touring in new and continually evolving ways.

I think BikeTours.com is a great domain name for the company, and I wish them well with their rebranding.

For full disclosure, my company sold BikeTours.com for an undisclosed price.
