Vista.com & VISTA TM Sold for $1.25 Million

The domain name Vista.com and the VISTA trademarks were sold by Innuity for $1.25 million. You can read the press release covering the sale here.

Sahar also has some commentary about the sale here. I think Vista.com is a fantastic generic domain name. It illustrates the topic of “domain usage.” Regardless of whether a huge company owns a trademark for the word, someone else can own it as long as the content doesn’t infringe on the other trademark.

  1. Sorry to be rude but these posts are ANNOYING!

Simply because it’s annoying to read again the SAME post you have previously read in Sahar, Frank, Ricks, … blogs without any additionnal information or a different point of view developped.

My feeling is that a SIGNIFICANT PART of your AUDIENCE is SHARED with these other domainers blogs.
So repeat the same without giving anything extra just lead the visitor to think is spending is time…

Eliot, and the others domaining bloggers:

“Please REFRAIN on copy/paste your posts or reference posts just as a courtesy.”

When you are not inspired, simply don’t post, it’s not an obligation!

    Continue your good blogging job.

    Friendly.

On CNN.com, NY Times, and NY Post right now are articles about the NY governor. Sometimes there is an important story that gets covered by everyone. Choose which source you prefer to read and decide whether or not to read about the same story elsewhere.
