Seam – New Brand From H&M?

It seems like H&M is getting set to launch a new brand called Seam on the brand match Seam.com domain name. The company promises a “new era of fashion.” Jamie Zoch shared his findings on Twitter this morning:

In looking at Whois history records at DomainTools, it looks like the domain name transferred from GoDaddy to Com Laude in February of this year. The domain name had been registered to a registrant in Michigan, and the domain name is now registered to Domain Licenses Limited.

When you visit Seam.com, there’s a message that says “coming soon to unlock your wardrobe.” As Jamie pointed out in his tweet, the privacy policy page on Seam.com states: “The Swedish company, H & M Hennes & Mauritz GBC AB is primary responsible for the processing of personal data within the scope of this Privacy Notice.” H&M is a popular clothing brand with stores around the world.

I tried to find out more information about what H&M has planned for Seam, but I came up empty. Whatever it is, Seam.com is an exceptional domain name, and it was smart to acquire this brand match domain name asset in advance of the launch of this new brand.
