PMC Weekend is Here

As you must know by now, this weekend, I will be riding 100 miles on my bicycle in the 2021 Pan-Mass Challenge. The PMC is an annual bike ride that raises funds for cancer research and cancer care at DanaFarber Cancer Institute in Boston. DanaFarber is recognized as one of the top three cancer centers in the world.

With the help of friends and colleagues, I was able to surpass my initial fundraising goal of $12,500. I set a stretch goal of $15,000 and we are very close to hitting that number.

I will be riding the PMC while wearing a special domain industry cycling jersey that raised over $11,000 from sponsors this year.

Just about everyone knows someone who is battling or who has battled cancer. My wife and I support Dana-Farber because it is a great organization helping people fight cancer and helping to find a cure for cancer. If you can help me achieve my fundraising goal, it would be greatly appreciated. I will happily add your name and link to the domain industry list of supporters if you are able to donate.

2021 PMC Cycling Jersey Raises $11,000 for Dana-Farber

My custom 2021 domain industry Pan-Mass Challenge cycling jersey has been finalized. Since I revealed the jersey design a week ago, four additional industry sponsors (DNGeek, Internet.bs, ODYS Global, and Premium Traffic Ltd.) stepped forward and made a donation to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute via my PMC fundraiser.

Two of the donations are currently pending, but once they are processed, this year’s domain industry bike jersey will raise $11,000 in funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Awesome! My fundraising goal will also be met, although I will still encourage friends and colleagues to support DFCI and its cancer defying mission.

We Hit the $100,000 Milestone

This year will be my 8th year riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. John Berryhill has done the Pan-Mass Challenge with me for three years. John and I both enjoy cycling, but we do the PMC each year to raise funds and awareness Dana-Farber and its cancer fighting mission.

This afternoon, John Berryhill and I hit a fundraising milestone. With the help of domain industry friends and colleagues, we hit the $100,000 fundraising milestone. I don’t really spend much time looking at accomplishments, but being able to say that we all helped to raise $100,000 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is pretty special.

2021 Pan-Mass Challenge

The largest annual fundraising event for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston is the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). During the first weekend of August, I will be riding in the PMC for the eighth consecutive year. With the support of friends, colleagues, and family, we have raised nearly $80,000 for Dana-Farber. For three years (and hopefully in the future), I rode the PMC with John Berryhill, and together, we have raised more than $88,000 for Dana-Farber.

The most important aspect of the Pan-Mass Challenge is fundraising for Dana-Farber. The PMC typically raises 57% of the annual budget for Dana-Farber’s Jimmy Fund. Since the PMC was founded, it has raised $767 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

I know several people, including friends, family, and colleagues, who have bravely fought cancer. Dana-Farber is one of the leading cancer fighting and cancer research organizations in the world.

John and I Are Ready to Ride

The Pan-Mass Challenge ride to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is coming up this weekend in a “reimagined” format. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, there isn’t a group ride this year. Instead, John and I will be riding separately, with the most important aspect having been accomplished already.

With the support of the domain industry, John and I have helped raise just shy of $14,000 for Dana-Farber. John and I will be proudly wearing our domain industry sponsored PMC jerseys as we ride this coming weekend. We have each been wearing our jerseys throughout the Summer as we condition ourselves for the big ride.

Peace

The silver lining about the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic is that I have been able to spend a lot more time with my kids the past few months. My business is much more flexible than my wife’s, so I have been spending the bulk of my day with our kids. It has not been without its challenges, but I feel very fortunate to be able to spend quality time with them.

This morning, the conditions were almost perfect for a nature hike. We hiked through some local Mass Audubon trails, and it was nice to be able to spend some time with the kids, enjoying nature, without business distractions.

Towards the end of our hike, we found this painted rock with a positive message I want to share with you.

There is an incredible amount of crazy in our world today. Sometimes it’s good to spend some time outside to take a break and catch my breath. Hope you find time to catch your breath and take a break.

Peace.
