Plains.com Sold for $115,000 via Sedo

Sedo Sr. Broker Dave Evanson announced that he successfully brokered the sale of Plains.com for $115,000. The sale was announced by Dave this morning on Twitter:

The Plains.com domain name appears to have transferred under Whois privacy proxy at Network Solutions and the name servers have not changed, so the buyer is currently unknown. The domain name does not currently resolve to an active website. There are quite a few companies that utilize “Plains” as their primary branding, but it remains to be seen what company acquired the domain name.

Unless this $115,000 sale is superseded this week, the sale of Plains.com will rank as the 13th largest sale of the year in the DNJournal year to date sales chart. It will rank just ahead of the $107,000 sale of January.com and just behind the $122,788 sale of Apuestas.es. I also added this sale to the Embrace.com one word .com sale chart.
