Peter Askew Starts GDDO Newsletter

Peter Askew has become one of the most well known domain investors through the successful businesses he has developed. I am a big fan of VidaliaOnions.com and the story behind this business, and Peter regularly shares background about his other web development projects, including BirthdayParties.com and DudeRanch.com.

Earlier this week on Twitter, Peter shared that he is starting a newsletter on GDDO.com, a domain name he recently acquired at auction:

Peter intends to send somewhat regular emails that list a few domain names that are either coming up for sale or that are on sale that he believes are ripe for development. Peter has regularly highlighted domain names on Twitter. While Peter announced he has no plans to monetize the newsletter at this point, I could envision him mentioning privately held domain names that are for sale for a sales commission or listing fee.

I signed up for the newsletter as soon as I saw that tweet, and the first edition of the newsletter was emailed yesterday afternoon. I think this will be an email newsletter I look forward to receiving on a regular basis.

  1. What a great service provided by Peter, for whom i have the highest respect, to further catalyze the domain investor ecosystem by sharing his thinking, and opportunities to further wellbeing of fellow domainers

Hope he will expand the opportunity to help other domainers with generic developable names like those he features to more easily meet with potential development partners (web designers, investors) so they can develop more of their own domains names.

Disclosure; As an example of what I am hoping for, would love to meet up with suitable party to jointly monetize a few of my names, including, for example: 1) negotiationsupport.com 2) eldersupport.com 3) royalswatch.com – all of which have related social accounts to boost viral, highroi marketing success
