Some Sunday Thoughts & Updates

Football season is here! As a New England Patriots fan, I am glad football season is back because the “deflategate” talk has gotten super tired. If you’re a Patriots fan, I wish your team lots of luck. If you root for other teams, especially the Jets, Colts, Ravens, Giants, Bills and Eagles, I wish you a long and depressing season.

Here are some domain industry updates and observations. You are welcome to share yours in the comment section.

I am on vacation and find myself working again. I love this business, but one of the downsides is that I can never get away from it. Sure, I can schedule some articles in advance and maybe use Protrada to place backorders at the last moments, but there are plenty of things I can’t automate or set up in advance. It always seems to be a working vacation of sorts. I would rather be doing this than any of the alternatives though.

Here are some thoughts and updates on the weekend. You are welcome to share some of your thoughts and business updates as well.

The rest of the Summer is going to be a blur. I have a bunch of things scheduled, so I might not respond to emails as quickly as usual. One of the downsides of my business is that I am almost always working while traveling, but I suppose it’s this business that lets me travel. Double edged sword I suppose.

I shared some thoughts and updates below. You are welcome to share your business thoughts and updates, too.

The Boston domain investor meetup is scheduled for a week from Wednesday (July 15). I think there will be a nice crowd. If you haven’t reserved a spot and want to attend, please let me know ASAP. Sedo is sponsoring the meetup.

On this coming Wednesday (July 8), there is a meetup at Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs game against the St. Louis Cardinals sponsored by Rook Media / Domain Sponsor. There are now 4 tickets available due to a few people being unable to make it. If you want to attend, let me know ASAP and I will put you in touch with Joe (or contact your account manager directly).

Last night, I saw a television commercial for a restaurant that

We’re almost half way through the year, and I hope your business is doing well. My sales numbers are up significantly over the first half of last year. As a result, I have continued making strategic acquisitions in the domain aftermarket.

Here are some thoughts and updates for the weekend. Your comments and updates are invited as well.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. I have been spending the day with my family, and I hope you are doing the same if you are celebrating Father’s Day. I feel badly for all the dads who are at ICANN and away from their families today.

Some thoughts and updates are posted below. If you have any thoughts or updates you would like to share, you are welcome to do so even if they have nothing to do with what I shared.
