For the last several months, Rick “Domain King” Schwartz has been posting short videos to offer advice and to share stories about domain name investing. Rick has sold tens of millions of dollars worth of domain names and he still has an enviable portfolio. Rick often shares a different perspective than my own, and I think it has been helpful to listen to his thoughts and ideas as I operate my own business.
Hardest Question: What Are Your 3 Best Domain Names?
Last week on Twitter, Rick Schwartz shared a video discussing the hardest question for a domain investor to answer: What Are Your 3 Best Domain Names?
Rick’s domainer quiz.
The single question that over 90% of #domainers cannot answer. It’s the first question I ask and it’s the hardest question for a #domain investor to answer, and answer quickly and with authority.#Domains #Marketing #Sales #Advertising #startups #Branding pic.twitter.com/xLpicUr0SV

It is a difficult question to answer, and for me at least, this can change multiple times a year depending on acquisitions and sales.
Rick Schwartz Has Made $30 MILLION via PPC Parking
If you don’t follow Rick Schwartz (Domain King) on Twitter, you should. I don’t agree with everything he says nor do I always agree with his approach to the business of domain investing, but there is no doubt that he is one of the most successful domain investors of all time. The way he operated his business over the years has put him in a position today that allows him to do whatever he wants. He maintains an exceptional domain name portfolio, and it continues to pay dividends for him.
Late last week, Rick replied to someone in a tweet and revealed that he has made $30 million in revenue via PPC parking. See the tweet for yourself:
Rick Schwartz Reveals Purchase Prices on Group of Domain Names
Rick Schwartz is back on Twitter. The “Domain King” rejoined Twitter within the last several weeks, and he picked up pretty much where he left off – dishing opinions and insights about domain names.
About an hour ago, Rick shared the purchase prices for a group of adult related domain names he owns. He did not share the dates of purchase, but you can bet it was many years ago.
Here’s the tweet where he shared what he paid to buy some of his domain names:
Daily Poll: Will Rick Schwartz Return to Twitter in 2018?
Rick Schwartz seems to have shut down his @domainking Twitter account last week. Rick had a popular (and verified) Twitter account that shared insight and generated a great deal of discussion about domain names. I believe Rick also announced that he owns (or owned, whatever the case currently may be) seven figures worth of Twitter stock.
Rick announced his departure from blogging a few years ago, and he pretty much stayed true to that with only a handful of blog posts since that point. Today’s poll question is will Rick Schwartz Return to Twitter in 2018?
You are invited to vote in the poll below and are welcome to share additional thoughts in the comment section.
Rick Schwartz Signs Off of Twitter
In the wake of Mike Berkens’ @TheDomains Twitter account being hacked / hijacked and the lack of support from Twitter in helping to expediently recover the account, it looks like Rick Schwartz is no longer going to post on Twitter. He wrote what appears to be a goodbye tweet earlier today:
For those that Remember Mission Impossible:
The Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.
This @Twitter account will self-destruct in 5 seconds.5
