According to this week’s sales report, Afternic sold just under $650,000 in domain names last week, and a 3 letter .net domain name was the leading sale. Met.net now appears to be owned by a company called Harrowston Holding LP, although the landing page has not changed yet.

It appears that Tucows’ YummyNames was the owner of the domain name that sold for the second highest price last week. Interestingly, Xcite.com is parked at Internet Traffic, and the company used the “for sale” graphic with the Buy Domains contact information.

Afternic reported its weekly sales results, and the leading sale was Puzzle.com at $500,000.  This ranks as the second highest publicly reported sale of 2011, in a tie with GamesForGirls.com. This domain name was a NameMedia property, and it was acquired by a company in Amsterdam. It’s not clear how the domain name will be used yet.

EJU.com was the second leading sale of the week, just shy of $100,000. This also appears to be a NameMedia house sale. Overall, Afternic sold $1.06 million in public .com domain names (above $1,000/each) this past week.
