You.ai Sold for $700,000 via Sedo (Updated)

Sedo published its weekly domain name sales report today, and the largest sale was You.ai, which transacted for $700,000 USD. The domain name was sold via Sedo’s platform rather than through a SedoMLS partner.

This sale sets the public record for .AI domain name sales, according to NameBio. Prior to the $700,000 sale of You.ai, the largest .AI domain name sale was Stack.ai, which sold for $258,888 earlier this year via Afternic. The next highest sale was the sale of NPC.ai for $250,000. That domain name was also sold this year via Sedo.

The sale of You.ai will move into the third spot on the DNJournal year to date public domain name sale chart once it is recorded by Ron Jackson.

The buyer of You.ai is currently unknown as the Whois record is private, and the domain name does not yet resolve to an active website.

Update: Dharmesh Shah was the buyer of You.ai.
