Strength.com Sold for $300,001 at Flippa

According to a report on NameBio’s blog this morning, the Strength.com domain name sold for $300,001 at Flippa yesterday. It was the largest publicly reported sale of the day, as reported by NameBio in its morning sales report tweet:

A representative from Flippa confirmed that the Strength.com domain name was sold via its platform and shared a link to the listing.

Because the domain name was just sold yesterday, I presume the deal has not yet closed. The listing states “Strength.com – Sports Nutrition and Dietary Supplements Brand Online Business.” This sale appears to be a business in addition to the domain name, so I assume Ron Jackson will not be able to list this as a domain sale. If he did, it would surpass the $300,000 sales of Signet.com, The.Club, and EEN.com.

Also according to NameBio, this $300,001 sale would appear to be the most expensive domain name sold via Flippa. Prior to the sale of Strength.com, the three largest Flippa domain name sales were 0123.com, which sold for $252,500, StockPhotos.com, which sold for $250,000, and Soulmate.com, which sold for $160,000.

The Summer months are typically slower than most other times of the year, but it seems that there have been quite a few nice domain name sales, including the $600,000 sale of Christian.com (via Sedo broker Dave Evanson) and the just reported $235,000 sale of Sportsmans.com.

  1. Strength 17k searches per month. No generic searches from Google and they will have to pay more money to market strength association to their supplements products.

  2. I also think it’s a great domain, especially if it’s developed into a “fitness” brand. It motivated me to buy the nTLD: Strength.LLC just moments after I read about it.

Thanks for reporting this Elliot….btw…do you own TopNotchDomains.LLC ?
