Mine.com in Pending Delete Auction

As I was looking through the upcoming pending delete auctions, I was caught by surprise by an exceptionally valuable domain name. Mine.com went into pending delete status earlier this week. After the domain name made it through the pending delete process, it was caught by DropCatch.com.

Mine.com has been entered into a public auction at DropCatch, and the domain name will be sold to the highest bidder upon its conclusion. Bidding for Mine.com is already at $380k. This will be one of the largest pending delete auction results once the bidding has concluded.

Earlier this year, Spend.com also expired and was deleted. Spend.com was caught by DropCatch.com, and the domain name sold for $802,500. This was the largest all time sale on the DropCatch platform. I would not be surprised if bidding for Mine.com surpasses that of Spend.com. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the sale of Mine.com hits the 7 figure mark.

I’ll be keeping my eye on this auction as it progresses.

  1. The whois history is a bit strange. Is was at Cronon until at least May 22 last year and then at some point went to Spaceship seemingly without a one-year extension. Also, the former German owner doesn’t seem like someone who would suddenly move the domain to Spaceship, which I believe is still not well-known outside the domaining community.

    • I am uncertain about what happened with this domain name or its history. I only noticed it when I saw it on a pending delete list and then when it was caught by DropCatch and auctioned.
